Join our team of innovators

"For more than three years, I was part of the Czech Rocket Society student team, which helped me recognize the power of hands-on experience. My goal is to provide talented students with an opportunity to work with experts, create real-world innovation, and get paid for their efforts."

— Lukáš Málek, Director and Co-Founder

MESH WITH US

We are building communication networks that work where infrastructure doesn't — underground, in remote areas, or even in space.

Key features:

  • Infrastructure-independent communication
  • Scalable, easily deployable mesh
  • Advanced modulation techniques
  • Routing optimized for each use case
  • Localization where GNSS fails

Example use cases:

  • Indoor localization
  • Drone swarm communication
  • Connectivity for space rovers
  • Local networks in remote areas
  • Reliable communication during emergencies, natural disasters or cyberattacks

THE MALNUS STORY

We started Malnus to solve localization where GNSS fails — to help firefighters inside buildings, connect robots on distant planets, and enable networks that don't rely on existing infrastructure.

Lukáš studied Cybernetics and Robotics at CTU FEL and spent four years on student rocket development. Filip graduated from the University of the West of England, worked at ESA ECSAT, and built robotics systems at Ocado. We met at the Czech Rocket Society and turned our shared passion for engineering and innovation into a company. Today, we're a small but growing team from CTU and Charles University, supported by CzechInvest and ESA BIC.

A DAY AT MALNUS

We prefer working together in our Prague office. Mornings start with coffee, short planning sessions and whiteboard discussions. Work is divided into three main areas:

  • Firmware & Hardware – designing PCBs, choosing components, and writing firmware.
  • Routing – optimizing meshing algorithms based on the constraints.
  • Simulation – testing routing strategies in virtual environments.

You will work closely with the founders and other developers, with plenty of freedom to propose new ideas.

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR

  • Fluent in Czech, knowledge of English and based in Prague.
  • Passionate about hardware and software, no need for previous work experience. Worked on a cool side project during your studies? Tell us about it at the interview!
  • Comfortable working in a fast evolving startup environment.
  • Python and C/C++ skills (or a quick learner).

What do we offer:

  • Both part-time and full-time roles are available.
  • Project-based pay with performance bonuses.
  • No fixed hours — work when it suits you, as long as you deliver on time.
  • Hybrid setup — flexible remote work with in-person collaboration in Prague.
  • Transparent compensation table — you always know how to grow with us.
  • Students welcome — deadlines and workload are agreed on to fit your studies.

HOW TO APPLY

We are always looking for inspirational people who want to build the future of communication technology.

To apply, write us an email at . In your email, either upload a 2-minute video or write a simple text about yourself — whatever you prefer.

Please no long texts, no need to create CVs just for this occasion. This is not where we decide, this is just to get to know you a bit better. We will schedule a meeting with you, either online or offline.
